Research request using NED data

To begin the process to access NED data for research purposes, please complete research request form.

The request should meet the following criteria:

• The proposed project is feasible based on currently available NED data.

• The project is covered by an existing ethics approval, or it is indicated whether further ethics and information governance approvals would be required and, if so, what these would be.
• The data can be delivered within the research study timeframe.
• The project has an appropriate research team with sufficient experience to deliver the intended outputs and is based in the UK.
• There is clear potential benefit to patients and the public.
• JAG are identified in any research outputs.
• Regular updates are provided to the JAG team.
• Any resulting publications are made available for upload to our website.

Subject to the above criteria being met, we would then support you to produce a data specification. Once completed these would then be submitted for review by the JAG research lead and NED team before a data release request can be approved.
